They call Me The Workaholic.

They call me The Workaholic

My office is my Temple of worship

I wake up happy, excited and worthy

Of the grace destiny granted me with a job I could never drop dead.

I am the real boss of the workplace

Never taken a holiday, a sickie or been late

Don’t need a girlfriend, Netflix or or a fireplace

When I can’t sleep I switch on my laptop and get holy ideas.

On my way to work I play Aerosmith in the car

Traffic becomes bliss, can’t wait to get so far

My PA needs to remind me to take a lunchbreak

I am the first to come in and the last to go away.

I often flip through travel magazines

It’s enough to feed my cosmopolitan greed

When colleagues go abroad they bring me gifts and treats

And I hold 33 percent of the company’s shares

Now, that’s something to feed.

After work I hit the gym

Gear matching my company’s logo

This is what I call faithful skin

I built an office in my garden shed just to feel my own glow

For work makes me glitter in gold

I want to live two hundred years just to see my salary grow!

The End.

I grew up reading books, taking dancing lessons and in a way looking for trouble! My Big Dream came true at age 29. Having broad life and work experience, I am comfortable in my shoes and wild in my imagination, which I share here and in my Books and Art. Updating on average every week, so keep checking out!
